Cook celebrates E&C Week around the world to close out 2018
Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Week is sponsored by the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE). This global, cross-industry-recognized week provides E&C professionals an opportunity to boost compliance culture, engage employees, and highlight their E&C programs.
In 2018, E&C Week was celebrated at Cook companies during the months of October and November. Employees played Kahoot (an online game site that allows registered users to develop their own questions and answers to use as a teaching tool), completed crosswords and coloring pages, and learned about the Cook global E&C program from their E&C representatives (ECR).
This is the third year that Cook’s E&C team has held this event. We look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming E&C Week events, to be held at global Cook locations in October and November 2019.

E&C Week in APAC
The APAC E&C team promoted an overall culture of integrity and compliance by delivering a series of lively trainings. This year, the team made an effort to improve employees’ conventional perception towards E&C, which resulted in increased staff engagement and retention of compliance knowledge.
Aligned with the global theme of “Awareness, Recognition, and Reinforcement,” clear compliance takeaways were incorporated into games, role-playing, puzzles, crosswords, coloring sheets, quizzes, and videos in order to guide our employees through an interactive learning experience.
Some countries rolled out different business activities each day throughout the E&C Week, while some countries compiled all activities into a one-day event, making it an E&C Day. Every country in the region added their own creative twist to the standard set of training materials. Employees understood the seriousness of the E&C program, while participating in engaging, fun activities.
A 12-minute video featuring APAC employees was prepared, which was one of the highlights of this year’s APAC E&C Week. Each video participant was asked to give their thoughts over the question “What does E&C in Cook mean to you?” Over 36 employees actively shared their thoughts and perspectives in the video, which echoed the region’s voice on the topic.
