Mercy Health Tweets live AAA case
Please don’t share the link to this blog post or the Mercy Hospital Twitter site, not even from your personal social channels. Regulations restrict medical device companies from promoting products through these channels due to the limited space for providing product info and risks (individual employee accounts count too).
Many of you have seen live cases on video feed when you have attended medical conferences. They are often very popular at the conferences and allow for audience members to ask questions of the physicians performing the procedure, or make suggestions about possible approaches to the procedure.
While we can’t talk about our products on social media, our customers can. Mercy Health of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the U.S. brought a live case to Twitter recently, explaining each step of a four-hour surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
The case featured the Cook Zenith® Fenestrated AAA Endovascular Graft, and Mercy Health posted the entire tweet session on Storify. Take a look!

This just makes me feel so proud to be apart of the Cook ‘family’. I sometimes forget how life changing we are, in my own little world (my job). Thank you for sharing this. 🙂
Absolutely positively amazing!!
