CFC Properties supports Hoosier Hills Food Bank

In the heart of CFC Propeties’ Fountain Square in Bloomington, Indiana, a two-story cascading fountain graces its lower level. Aside from providing a tranquil ambiance to its visitors and standing as a backdrop for events and photos, the fountain has also become the place in downtown Bloomington to make a wish.
Since the late 1980s, the fountain has quietly absorbed the many hopes shared unto it, along with many coins to accompany these dreams. But what happens to the coins?
“When that money comes across our desk,” said Meshelle Roberts, an assistant controller at CFC, “We realized that this is a little different. This isn’t really money as much as is tokens, wishes, and something for the future.”
From the fountain, these coins take a journey across the community to Hoosier Hills Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that supplies food to shelters and food pantries across south central Indiana.
