Cook product a good fit for Kings

One of the most rewarding parts of working at Cook Medical is knowing that regardless of your role in the organization, the end result of what we do each day is a better quality of life for patients. However, sometimes the table is turned and we find ourselves as the patient in need of the products we make.

This was recently the case for me and my husband, Anthony King, who also works for Cook. I’m in global market development for Peripheral Intervention and Anthony is global brand marketing manager for Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS).

Our first baby was due on April 7 of this year, but a week later, there were still no signs of being closer to delivery. Our obstetrician, Dr. Beth Cottongim, decided to induce labor on April 12 and used the Cook® Cervical Ripening Balloon to help ensure a smooth delivery.

On April 13, I gave birth to a healthy, happy baby boy named Finn. In a stressful time, it was incredibly reassuring to have our doctor selling me on one of our Cook products and hearing how she loved Cook’s products overall. I’d like to extend a huge “thank you” to the men and women who build this device every day!
