Cook Spencer’s Fun Committee engages employees year-round

The Fun Committee brings big smiles to the employees at Cook Spencer. Cook Spencer production and office employees can volunteer annually to serve on the committee for one year. The Fun Committee volunteers meet for one hour a month to plan events that Spencer employees facility-wide can enjoy. As a result, Cook’s unique family culture thrives. The Cook culture is one of the most important things employees want to maintain as our company’s transformation continues.
From friendly competition in the form of Easter bonnet decorating and Halloween costume contests to community service projects, employees enjoy each other’s company. Last year’s Backpack Buddies Food Drive raised 11,896 items from the generosity of Cook Spencer employees. The Backpack Buddies program helps children who are at risk for hunger by sending nutritious food home with them on the weekends.
“I like seeing the employees having fun; they seem to love the events,” said Taylor Cooper, 2017 Fun Committee volunteer. Multiple Cook Spencer employees stated “the sillier the better” when it comes to enjoying the events. Check out the photo slide show below of the 2017 Spencer Fun Committee’s events.
