The Return of The Cook Podcast

I am the manager of global editorial content for Corporate Marketing and Communications at Park 48. The main job of my team is to put together the Angiogram, the Life@Cook blog, and this, The Cook Podcast.

It’s been about a year since we last released an episode, but now we are back. We already have several episodes lined up and ready to go. The plan going forward is to release at least one new episode a month (hopefully more). This time around, the format is slightly different. We are doing more one-on-one interviews with different folks from throughout the Cook world. Our goal is to get to know each other as not just coworkers, but as people.

This new format isn’t set in stone. Like all of our channels, we will constantly be tweaking and refining what we do based on your feedback and the company’s needs.

Initially my team will be handling the bulk of what you hear on The Cook Podcast, but as we move forward, we want to involve as many of you as possible. If you have any interest in taking part, either on the microphone or behind the scenes—or if you have any suggestions for people we should interview or stories we should cover—either post about it in the comments below or send an email to CookPodcast@CookMedical.com.

We are also looking for musicians to submit pieces that we can use for the intros and outros of every episode. (This episode’s music was supplied by Cozy Catastrophes, the one-man musical project of Greg Adams, who works in the MedSurg division at Park 48).

If you’re new to podcasts, welcome! There are a lot of great ones out there about every imaginable subject. For example, every week I listen to two stand-up comedy podcasts, another about punk music, and a fourth on goth music and culture (which my 16-year-old finds hilarious). If you’re already a podcast fan, use the comment section below to name one or two of your favorites for other people to check out (as long as they don’t have offensive names).

I look forward to hearing from you!
