Upcoming holiday events hosted through various properties of CFC

If you are planning to be in Bloomington, Indiana, or Solsberry, Indiana, this winter, there are some special events and dates to add to your calendar.

Events at Fountain Square

Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus

When: Saturdays and Sundays through December 17; December 22 (See times below.)
Where: Inside Fountain Square’s South Atrium, just past the security desk and the yellow staircase.

Families are welcome to visit Fountain Square to take a free photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus using their own camera or cell phone. Professional photos will not be available. To be courteous to all attendees, each child will receive roughly 3-4 minutes with Santa during their session. Families with multiple children can expect roughly 5 minutes or more per session. The photo session line will end promptly at the stated cut-off time listed for each event. At that point, no additional attendees will be able to join the line. All attendees in line prior to the cut-off time will have their session with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Photo sessions with Santa and Mrs. Claus are available every Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sunday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, now until December 17. One additional photo session will be offered on Thursday, December 22, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Special Needs Photo Session with Santa and Mrs. Claus

When: Friday, December 9, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (For children and adults with special needs only.)
Where: Inside Fountain Square’s South Atrium, just past the security desk and the yellow staircase.

Families with children and adults with special needs are welcome to visit Fountain Square to take a free photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus using their own camera or cell phone. For those who may need extra assistance during the photo session, a CFC Properties staff member will be available. Professional photos will not be available. This photo session is for those with special needs only.

Donations buckets will be available for those who would like to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, Shop with a Cop, and Shop with a Firefighter. We’d like to thank everyone in advance for helping make Bloomington a place to love.

Indiana University Auditorium Annie Ticket Giveaway

When: Saturdays and Sundays through December 17; December 22 (See times below.)

Enter for a chance to win a family 4-pack of tickets to see the show Annie, which hits the stage in April 2023 at the IU Auditorium. The giveaway table will be located in Fountain Square’s South Atrium on select dates. The giveaway table will be available for entries every Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sunday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, until December 17. One additional drawing entry day will be offered on Thursday, December 22, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Santa’s Mailbox

When: Now – Thursday, December 15 (See times below.)

Santa has a special mailbox inside Fountain Square that allows children to mail their hand-written wish lists to the big man himself. The letters are picked up by Santa’s mail-delivery elves now through Thursday, December 15 (final mail delivery day ends at 4:00 pm), and taken directly to him to be read one by one. After reading each letter, Santa personally sends a response letter to each child’s address.

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Stories with Santa

When: Thursday, December 15, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Where: Inside Fountain Square’s Ballroom on the 3rd floor.

Children may enjoy complimentary cookies and milk while Santa reads and shares enchanting Christmas stories. Santa will even answer children’s most inquisitive questions about the North Pole – he knows EVERYTHING! Together, they’ll end the evening by singing a fun holiday jingle.

Events at the Yoho General Store

Annual Yoho Holiday Meal

When: Thursday, December 15, begin serving at 11:00 am.

Will be serving generous plates of sliced roasted ham and turkey topped with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes covered in brown gravy, green beans, stuffing, a hot roll, and a medium drink or coffee for only $12.95. Meals will be served from 11:00 am until the pans are empty.
