The Big Push: Easter to Memorial Day overtime

Our blog post on March 12 explained the current situation with product backorders. We wanted to give you an update on how we are catching up to deliver products to our customers and their patients.

At times like this, it is important that we all work together and put in extra effort. This burden cannot fall on the shoulders of a few people. We need to act as a team to focus on catching up.

So we were pleased with the enthusiastic response from employees when we asked each manufacturing department at P48, Spencer, Ellettsville, and Canton to commit to 45 working hours per employee each week, from Easter to Memorial Day (April 5 to May 25, 2015). Without hesitation, the teams on the production floor pulled together and focused on getting the extra work done.

After the first week, all four locations have exceeded their goals for total hours worked, so we are off to a good start. Five extra hours per week–just one extra hour a day–may not seem like much, but it will make a significant difference in reducing our late orders.

Thank you, production teams, for your understanding, patience, and hard work.
