Celebrating Cook Vandergrift’s 40th anniversary

Pacemakers, dilators, needles, ports, catheters, blood flow monitors, pipettes—these are just some of the medical devices that Cook Vandergrift has manufactured during its 40 years. Despite the plethora of different devices the company has produced, there’s one thing that remains constant: the feeling of family. It might be due to the 80,000-square-foot building that encourages the employees to interact with each other closely, the company picnics where they meet each other’s families, or the fact that Vandergrift has some really friendly people. Whatever it is, it makes the company feel like a second home and the staff feel like family.

This year, Cook Vandergrift is celebrating their 40th anniversary. The video in this blog post features employees who have been with Cook as few as 10 months and employees who have been with the company for as long as 38 years. They share their stories and what working at Cook means to them.

In a series of remote interviews, employees reflected on their time at Cook Vandergrift. From it being the only place offering a full-time job with benefits for women, to Carl Cook riding in the airplane bathroom to accommodate all the people on the flight, each employee has a unique story to share. You can watch their stories by clicking the play button on the video below!

  6. LOL — the flight with Carl. I was on that flight, or one very like it. Being in my first year with the company at the time (~1998?), I was amazed that the owner’s son would do such a thing!

    Congratulations, Cook Vandergrift!
